How to Give Negative Feedback to Your Peers, Boss, or Direct Reports

When I was in college, I received a lot of negative feedback. I guess I should’ve expected it. My major was creative writing, and critiquing my peer’s work (and having my work critiqued) was a part of the learning experience. Every few weeks, my professors held hour-long workshops in which my classmates and I had to sit quietly and listen while others shared their feedback.
