If you’re a first-generation college student, you might have heard people tell you to network for better opportunities. If you’ve rolled your eyes at that piece of advice, you’re not alone.

AiLun Ku is President and CEO of the Opportunity Network. In addition, she is a management faculty member at the Institute of Nonprofit Practice. She is an alumna of New York University’s Steinhardt School’s Senior Leaders Fellowship and the Emerging Leaders Lab. She was also an MIT Media Lab Director’s fellow in 2019. She received her master of public administration from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and her BA from New York University’s College of Arts and Science.

Ray Reyes is Managing Director of Programs of the Opportunity Network, overseeing all organizational programs and program teams. Previously, he was an assistant director and career counselor at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He received his BA in English from Rowan University and his MA in Higher Education from the Steinhardt School.
